Whole-Child Learning Guided by Research & Exploration
Our approach brings together cognitive, social, emotional, physical, language and literacy, and health and care development. Children build these skills through relationships, communication, guided learning, and opportunities to explore with growing independence.
Inspired by Montessori, the Reggio Emilia philosophy, and other respected methodologies, our research-informed curriculum balances structured guidance with open-ended play, observation, discussion, and exploration. This balance gives children different ways to engage with ideas and discover how they learn.
The WISDOM Learning Path
The WISDOM Learning Path helps us understand each child’s learning patterns, developmental stage, needs, interests, and curiosity. Through observation, we shape learning experiences around individual potential instead of relying on one approach for every child.
Assessment & Individual Support
Regular assessments allow us to follow each child’s progress and adjust the learning path when needed. They also give parents a clearer view of how classroom experiences connect with developmental goals and individualized support.
Communication With Families
Parent-teacher communication keeps families connected to their child’s experience. We share information through Procare, social media updates, monthly newsletters, quarterly parent-teacher conferences, and family engagement events. This ongoing exchange is especially valuable when children are settling into routines or preparing for a new learning stage.

Programs for Each Stage of Early Childhood
The right starting point depends on your child’s development and your family’s goals. Our pathway includes distinct programs for infant care, toddler care, preschool, and pre-kindergarten.
Each stage reflects different developmental priorities:
- Infant: Responsive routines, secure relationships, sensory experiences, and consistent communication between families and caregivers.
- Toddler: Growing independence, language development, movement, social interaction, exploration, and predictable routines.
- Entry Level Preschool: A supported introduction to preschool learning, peer relationships, creativity, communication, and classroom routines.
- Intermediate Level Preschool: Continued whole-child development through guided learning, play, early literacy, exploration, and social-emotional growth.
- Pre-Kindergarten: Opportunities to strengthen confidence, independence, communication, and readiness for the next classroom setting.
Comparing Early Learning Options in Washington County
Families may consider both private early education programs and publicly funded resources. Early Learning Washington County maintains provider information and other resources that can clarify the broader local landscape.
Preschool Promise is a publicly funded Oregon program for eligible families with children ages 3 and 4. Confirm eligibility requirements, participating providers, schedules, and availability directly through the program. Preschool Promise participation is separate from contacting Safari Kid Beaverton about private enrollment.
When comparing options, consider the educational approach, care requirements, communication practices, availability, and fit with your child’s development. We can answer questions about our programs and explain the next steps for an inquiry.
