Daycare & Preschool Near Beaverton

Whole-Child Learning from 3 Months Through Pre-Kindergarten

We give Beaverton families a connected path that supports children from 3 months through preparation for kindergarten. At Safari Kid Cedar Mill, our holistic approach addresses cognitive, social, language and literacy, physical, emotional, and health and care development. Children receive thoughtful guidance while exploring ideas, materials, and interests through play.

Our nature-inspired learning environment encourages curiosity while providing the consistency young children need. We balance structured experiences with open-ended exploration so children can participate at an age-appropriate pace. This whole-child approach makes daycare and preschool about more than academic readiness. It supports how children learn, communicate, and connect with others.

Programs for Every Stage of Early Childhood

Each stage brings different needs, from an infant’s first experiences in group care to the growing independence of a child preparing for kindergarten. Our age-based options help families consider the setting that best aligns with their child’s age and development.

Program options include:

  • Infant care starting at 3 months: Our youngest children begin in a setting designed for early care and development.
  • Toddler care starting at 14 months: Toddlers explore as their mobility, communication, and independence grow.
  • Preschool starting at 3 years: Preschoolers build skills through guided activities and play-based learning.
  • Pre-kindergarten starting at 4 years: Older children continue building skills and confidence as they prepare for kindergarten.

Montessori & Child-Led Learning

Our curriculum draws inspiration from Montessori methods and the Reggio Emilia philosophy. Montessori methods encourage purposeful activity, independence, and learning through direct experience. This philosophy views children as capable learners whose ideas and interests can shape meaningful classroom exploration.

We bring these influences together through teacher guidance and active discovery. Children engage with their surroundings, express ideas, practice emerging skills, and learn alongside their peers. We nurture intellectual growth together with social, emotional, language, and physical development.

Experienced Educators & What to Ask on a Tour

Our educators bring experience from several relevant settings. Our Director has worked in childcare for 12 years, including two years as a Director. Lead Teacher backgrounds include six years of infant care, three years in a Montessori infant classroom, and two years working with children on the autism spectrum.

During a tour, parents can discuss their child’s age, development, daily needs, and prior experience in care. Families can also learn how educators interact with children and guide classroom learning.

A childcare tour can help you evaluate:

  • How classroom supervision is handled throughout the day
  • What families and children can expect during arrival and departure
  • Whether the classroom environment and learning experiences suit the age group
  • What qualifications and relevant experience staff members bring to their roles
  • Which licensing requirements and classroom safety procedures apply
