Infant Care in Washington County
Responsive Care for Babies Starting at 6 Weeks
Babies need familiar routines, responsive relationships, and room to develop at their own pace. Our Bambino Infant Program provides early learning and care for babies starting at 6 weeks, serving Washington County families from our Tigard center.
We pay attention to each baby’s cues for comfort, rest, movement, and engagement. Through responsive caregiving and sensory-based learning, we encourage early communication, motor development, self-awareness, and secure relationships without rushing developmental readiness.
Call (503) 676-3873 or contact us online to ask about the Bambino Infant Program and discuss the next step for your family.
Inside the Bambino Infant Program in Tigard
Our Bambino Infant Curriculum is designed to mirror home routines, helping babies experience continuity between family care and their learning environment. We combine dependable care with interactive play, sensory experiences, and gentle guidance suited to this early stage of development.
A sensory-rich environment and low caregiver-to-child ratios support personalized attention. Families can share their baby’s routines, preferences, and developmental changes, giving our educators a fuller understanding of each child’s needs.
A Nature-Inspired Setting for Rest & Discovery
Our Tigard center was renovated before opening and designed as a nature-inspired learning space. It offers calm, thoughtfully arranged areas for rest, relationships, movement, and discovery.
Our research-driven approach draws inspiration from Montessori, Reggio Emilia, and other respected educational methodologies. Instead of applying one method in isolation, we use these influences to nurture cognitive, language and literacy, physical, social, emotional, and care needs.
Family Partnership From the Beginning
Parents know their babies best, so family participation is central to our relationship-centered approach. Regular communication, family events, and ongoing involvement give parents opportunities to stay informed and collaborate with educators.

Whole Child Development Through Infant Learning
The Bambino Infant Curriculum treats development as interconnected rather than separating care from learning. Activities may include soothing music, high contrast board books, discovery baskets, songs, nursery rhymes, reading aloud, movement, and mirror exploration.
The curriculum addresses these development areas:
- Cognitive Development: Simple discovery, visual contrast, sounds, and object exploration encourage attention and early understanding.
- Language and Literacy Development: Responsive conversation, songs, gestures, baby sign language, and shared books introduce the foundations of communication.
- Physical Development: Age-appropriate opportunities to grasp, reach, roll, crawl, and coordinate movement respect each baby’s individual pace.
- Social and Emotional Development: Consistent relationships help babies build trust, recognize emotions, and begin developing self-regulation.
- Health and Care: Attentive caregiving and familiar home routines remain part of the child’s daily developmental experience.
Responsive Routines That Adapt as Babies Grow
Infant routines change as babies develop. Our approach pairs predictability with careful observation, allowing educators to respond to each child’s cues and readiness during care, floor play, sensory exploration, comfort, and transitions.
Ongoing assessment and parent collaboration help us understand developmental changes over time. Parent-teacher communication through Procare and social media updates keeps families connected to their child’s experience and gives them a way to share important updates from home.
