A Calm, Confident Start For Your Child
Choosing care for your child is one of the biggest decisions you make as a parent. You want a place that feels safe and warm, where your child is known by name and encouraged to grow in every way. You also need dependable support that fits your family’s life in Dublin, CA.
At Safari Kid Pleasanton, we bring a global standard of early childhood education to the Dublin community. Our programs for infants through elementary ages draw from respected approaches like Montessori and Reggio Emilia, and our own research-driven curriculum nurtures each child’s cognitive, social, emotional, language, and physical development. We work to create a setting where children are happy to arrive and proud of what they discover.
From our nature-inspired classrooms to our passionate educators, we focus on building a strong foundation for lifelong learning. As you explore our childcare center, you will see how carefully we have designed every detail to support both children and families.

A Day In Our Childcare Program
Parents often tell us that picturing a typical day helps them feel more at ease. While each classroom in our center has its own rhythm, your child’s day always follows a calm and predictable flow. This balance of routine and variety helps children feel secure while still leaving room for discovery.
For infants, the day centers on responsive care. Teachers follow each baby’s individual cues for feeding, sleeping, and play. You will see warm interactions, gentle songs, and simple sensory activities. Floor time, tummy time, and soft materials support physical development, while close eye contact and conversation nurture early language and emotional bonding.
Toddlers experience more group activities while still having plenty of time to explore. The day includes circle times with stories and songs, small group play, outdoor movement, and quiet rest. Teachers support early language and social skills by modeling sharing, turn-taking, and simple problem-solving. Materials are placed at child level so toddlers can make choices and practice independence under close supervision.
Preschool and early elementary children enjoy a schedule that blends learning centers, small group instruction, and open-ended projects. Mornings may include literacy and math invitations, such as storytelling, letter exploration, counting games, and simple science investigations. Afternoons often allow for creative work with art and building materials, along with outdoor play and reflection time.
Throughout the day, our teachers observe and respond to each child’s needs. If a child needs a little extra comfort at drop-off, we make time for one-to-one connection. If a group is deeply engaged in a project, we may extend that activity to honor their interest. This kind of flexible, attentive practice is one way our research-driven curriculum comes to life in the classroom.
How We Support Each Child
Every child arrives at our center with their own personality, pace, and way of seeing the world. We strive to honor that individuality while still providing shared experiences that help children learn together. Our goal is to help each child grow in confidence, curiosity, and resilience.
Our educators use ongoing observation and assessments to understand where each child is in key areas of development. These tools are not tests in the traditional sense. Instead, teachers take notes on how children play, communicate, solve problems, and interact with others. Over time, this gives us a clear picture of each child’s strengths and the areas where more support could be helpful.
We use this information to adjust classroom experiences. For example, a child who loves building might be invited to measure and compare structures to deepen early math skills. A child who is shy in groups might first share ideas with a teacher or a single peer to build comfort before speaking in front of the class. By tailoring our approach, we help children experience success that feels meaningful to them.
Whole child development includes far more than early academics. In our Dublin program, children practice empathy, cooperation, and self-regulation every day. Teachers model respectful language, guide children through conflicts, and celebrate effort rather than perfection. Experiences in art, music, and cultural activities broaden each child’s understanding of the world and support flexible thinking. Over time, these daily moments help children feel capable in new situations, both inside and outside the classroom.
